IMPORTANT: Our hours of operation and on-site availability may vary throughout the day as we adapt to our current capacity.
Please call us at 905-884-1832 PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL so we can advise whether we have a veterinarian on site to help you and your pet. Failure to call ahead may lead to delayed care for your pet as you may be diverted to another facility at the time of your arrival.

How We Work

Triage is a term that comes from the French verb “trier”, meaning to separate, sift or select. It is “the process of determining the priority of patients’ treatments based on the severity of their condition.” Triaging allows us to determine the order and priority of emergency treatment and to treat patients efficiently.

We are an emergency clinic, which means we run in a similar manner to a human emergency room and do not book appointment times. We function using the triage system, so you will be asked questions based on your pet’s problem and past history when you get to the clinic. Calling ahead to alert us of your pet’s condition will better help us triage them more efficiently. Due to the nature of our work, it is not possible to give accurate wait times at any time.
